Role

Format
Virtual panels, keynote address and fundraising broadcast
When
2020 · Covid-19 lockdown

The brief

At the height of the Covid-19 lockdown, Akhuwat Foundation needed to run Hope-A-Thon 3 as a fully virtual fundraiser. The programme had to carry the moral and institutional weight the appeal required: Pakistan's senior academic community on the broadcast, speaking to the same audience that would be asked to give.

What we did
  • Programme partnership with the Hope-A-Thon 3 organisers for the virtual broadcast
  • Speaker outreach and curation across the Pakistani university leadership — vice chancellors, rectors and former Chairman HEC
  • Three themed panels and a keynote block, each framed around the future of higher education under pandemic conditions
  • End-to-end coordination of the 22-speaker lineup for the fundraising day

Outcomes

  • 22 academic leaders convened on one virtual programme for Akhuwat
  • A keynote address by the Chairman of the PM Task Force on Science & Technology and former Chairman HEC
  • Three live panels on the evolution of education, the future of higher education in a post-Covid world, and the future of offline higher education
  • The institutional weight of the national university leadership behind the Akhuwat appeal
